JavaScript Tagged_templates Guide
Tagged templates allow custom processing of template literals by a function. Used for escaping, localization, and DSLs. The guide walks through Tagged Templates. `fn`string ${expr}`` — calls fn with parsed template. Receives: string parts array + interpolated values. Example: `function highlight(strings, ...values) { return strings.reduce((r, s, i) => r + s + (values[i] || ""), "") }`. Uses: HTML escaping (prevent XSS), SQL escaping, styled-components (CSS-in-JS), i18n translation. The guide is organized into 1 sections that build on each other, each pairing a prose explanation with runnable code. Related guides: Arrays, Strings, Numbers, Math, Date.
